The Texas A&M Howdy Club is an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting education, professional growth, service, and scholarship among Texas A&M University alumni, students, and staff. Howdy Club is one of three Aggie organizations in Houston, donating $20,000 in scholarships annually and maintaining an endowed fund that awards $1,000 annually. We do this through social events that include our famous monthly Aggie Happy Hours on the last Thursday of the month, an annual Toob Trip to New Braunfels, a Bus Trip to an A&M Football home game, a Sporting Clays tournament, Aggie Night at Houston-area professional sports, Aggie football and basketball Game Watching Parties, and Domino Tournaments. We might lean toward a younger group, but anyone interested in Aggie fun is more than welcome. All our events benefit our scholarship fund – it’s all for the kids!

You can always stay in touch with us by signing up for our happy hour notices and by visiting our web site at www.howdyclub.com. Most of our events are open to anyone, even if they are not members. By joining Howdy Club as an official member, you will receive additional benefits that allow opportunities to get better involved with Howdy Club outside of happy hours. Our goal is to create an environment where younger Aggie Professionals can meet other Houston Aggies at special members-only activities and receive the "inside scoop" on upcoming events before the information is released to the public. Official membership will also allow members to give input into Howdy Club and its events.

For a minimum contribution of $10, you will receive:

Special member-only happy hours and events to get to know other Houston area Aggies better,
Early notification and first opportunity to sign up for events such as toob trip, game trips, and other Howdy Club events,
Access to discounted Howdy Club intramural sports leagues, and
Opportunities for informal get-togethers such as domino days and other activities members would like to organize through Howdy Club.

Volunteering with Howdy Club allows you the opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of other Aggies in the Houston area. Volunteering can be done on many levels from occasionally helping with Howdy Crew, a special event, scholarship committee, or helping out all year as an officer or dedicated volunteer. Everyone has a great time volunteering and the commitment time is entirely up to the individual and how much they would like to help.

Howdy Club meets once a month as an officer group to discuss current club events. We also have an occasional special event meeting to discuss upcoming activities and new ideas. The officer meeting is traditionally the Sunday before the monthly Happy Hour, but is subject to change. Email an officer to verify when the next meeting is. If you cannot make it to a Sunday meeting, ask an officer at one of our events how you can help or simply send them an email.
